Residents are responsible for reviewing the pet policy in full (see above PDF link) and complying with all outlined regulations. ​Highlights from the policy include the following:
​
  • Dogs shall not be over 18 inches in height and/or weighing over 25 pounds.
  • Small dogs, cats, and other household animals may be kept on the Property, provided that the total of such household animals does not exceed three (3) in number, except as elsewhere provided in policy. 
  • Fish, small birds, hamsters and the like need not be registered and may exceed the limit of 3 per Unit as long as these Animals do not create a nuisance.
  • Except when confined within a Unit, an animal must be carried, or on a leash and attended by a responsible person.
  • Any waste deposited by the owner's animal(s) on any Common Element shall be immediately removed and properly disposed of.
  • No animal shall be permitted to cause or make noises, within or outside of buildings, of sufficient volume or duration as to become a nuisance.
  • All dogs must have a current registration and rabies I.D. tag, which must be attached to the collar or harness worn by the dog.
  • Every animal owned or regularly kept by a resident must be registered with the Association's Managing Agent.

Additionally, ECM1 residents must comply with the ECM1 Rules & Regulation, Section 6 on Pets. Highlights include the following:
  • Pets are not permitted in any Common Area unless they are carried or are on a leash. Pet leash length shall not exceed six (6) feet.
  • Dog owners are required to provide proof each year that their dog is licensed in accordance with Harford County law. Proof of licensure shall be submitted annually to the Property Manager.
